The Perigord Noir gastronomy
As everywhere in the Dordogne, talk of The Périgord Noir, immediately evokes the foie gras, duck, black Perigord truffles, boletus mushrooms and AOC Perigord walnuts, these jewels of French gastronomy excite our taste buds. Many recipes use these festive products.
Périgord gastronomy is based on iconic quality products. It has three I.G.P "Protected Geographical Indication" for foie gras, strawberries and lamb. The IGP means that the products are high in Périgord and respect a drastic quality charter. Other products have the AOC, as the Périgord walnuts.
A rich and user-friendly kitchen
The Périgord gastronomy transforms simple local products and delicacies in delicate. Here, nothing is lost, everything is available.
"It is not only a country where one eats well, it is also a country where one eats and finely where the food is held for one of the fine arts" stated André Maurois. As for Curnonsky he said: "The Périgord is born of a magic wand, gluttony here is not a sin, it's a real paradise where the Gods are met"
